Alternative Printing - Fun in small bottles

Been playing with one of the old traditional processes recently, Cyanotypes. This fits into my vision as I want to do contact prints from my 5x4 to master the processes with the aim of stepping up to a larger format later.

Here is my first sucsessful attempt which is taken on a polaroid Type 55 neg and printed on a hot pressed watercolour paper.

(A special thanks to John Brewer for the equipment and inspiration)

The negs for this process need to be more contrasty than for silver prints and this is my first negative (FP4 in Rodinal) with the deeper density range. Again printed on a hot-pressed watercolour paper. Toned in Tea (dregs of the pot)

Warning: Alt printing can be addictive plus it forces me to use the Large Format :)
